It is always nice to have veterans on the bench for pinch hitting situations late in games. BUT, will he accept a bench role? If not he will be a big liability in the outfield. I like the Mets outfield with Beltran in center, Church in right and youngster Daniel Murphy in left. I don't like the move if it is full-time. Part-time is another story.
