    Default Braves Win!!! Braves Win!!!

This should be a 2 horse race between the Mets and the Phils, right? Well I'm going to throw in a twist, as I think this team has a BIG bounce back season and wins it outright

    my play/prediction: Atlanta Braves +325

Atlanta has been too good for too long not to get back in the hunt in the NL East. I'm not ready to annoint the Mets as the front runner and the Phillies may struggle trying to repeat.

After some further thought, I would think about a small wager on Florida.

It is always tough for a past champion to repeat, and the Mets have it in their head that they could collapse again as they have for the past two seasons. Atlanta will be better, but not good enough so that leaves the door open for the Marlins who still have a good enough team to win.

HOMER here, but I think it is NY's year. The bullpen will be much improved over last year. Ryan Church should be back to his early season form before his concusion. He never recovered after taking a knee to the head. I don't expect Delgado to duplicate the 2nd part of the season but I do see Castillo producing more than last year to make up for some of the runs.

Lastly...This is Jerry Manuel's first full year. Willie Randoph and his dumb ass pitching coach screwed the Mets over the last 2 years. They made dumb decisions constantly. I know players win the games but they need to be put in a position to make the plays and that just didn't happen.

Call me a HOMER but I think NY wins the East by 6 games.

Mets are decent value too at +130...not great, but decent, they should win the div. given the talent they have on the tema

That is the big problem with the Mets, they should have won the East in 2007 and blew it, they had control of the East for most of the 2008 season and faded. Is the third time a charm, maybe but I'm not willing to bet on it.

It will be a good fight between the Mets and Phili. Go with the Mets as the better bet. I agree the bullpen has improved with the likes of K-rod.
