| MLB Baseball Betting Odds - Baltimore at Toronto The Baltimore Orioles (44-43), who have hung in gamely in the American League East, are in danger of slipping back to the .500 mark. They'll try to stave that off on Tuesday night as they take on the Toronto Blue Jays (42-47), another AL East team who would like to get some momentum going, as these teams tangle at 7:07 PM ET at the Rogers Centre (artificial turf) in Toronto. Right-handers take the mound, as Daniel Cabrera of the Orioles (6-4, 4.42 ERA) faces Dustin McGowan (6-7, 4.36 ERA) of the Blue Jays. At BetUS online sportsbook, Toronto is listed as a -140 favorite (Baltimore is +120), with a total of 8.5 runs (the Over is -120, while the Under is even money). Here are some of the MLB betting trends as they relate to this matchup: * BALT has played five of its last seven games OVER the total * BALT has played 11 of its last 15 road games OVER the total * TOR has lost four of its last five games * TOR has won four of its last six home games In the HEAD-TO-HEAD sports betting trends: * BALT has won four of the last six meetings * Nine of the last ten meetings have gone OVER the total * BALT has won four of the last six meetings as the road team * TOR has won 12 of the last 18 meetings as the home team * The last five meetings in Toronto have gone OVER the total * Twelve of the last 18 meetings in Toronto have gone UNDER the total Baltimore is in fourth place in the AL East, 10.5 games behind Tampa Bay and three games in front of the Toronto Blue Jays. The Orioles have had their difficulty on the road, as they have won just 19 games while losing 27. The Blue Jays are 22-19 at home, and are 25-29 as a favorite. Baltimore last played on Sunday, and lost an 11-10 game to the Texas Rangers, despite a homer and three RBI's from Nick Markakis, while Toronto lost 7-1 to the Angels on Sunday, as Jon Garland pitched a complete game for the Angels. Daniel Cabrera went the distance last time out for the Orioles, giving up seven hits and two runs against the Kansas City Royals. In his last six starts, he has given up four runs or more on four different occasions. But his last four starts have resulted in games that have gone under the total. One of the reasons is that his teammates have scored 13 runs for him in his last four mound appearances. In three of Dustin McGowan's last four starts, he has given up four runs or more. And remember, Toronto, which is not a team who scores a lot of runs normally (4.1 per game), has done so even less than usual lately, tallying three runs or less in four of his last five outings. Last time out, on Wednesday against Seattle, he surrendered four runs in six innings against the Mariners in what was a 4-2 Blue Jays loss. With neither pitcher particularly effective, we must admit that we are tempted to go with the "over" here. But we don't necessarily have any confidence in either offense, so let's take a look at the dog here. That's what we'll do with the persistent O's, who are the +120 underdog in the BetUS Major League Baseball betting odds.
