| MLB Baseball Betting Odds - Tampa Bay at Florida BetUS MLB Betting Odds: Florida -120, Tampa Bay - Even; Total 9 The "Battle of the Sunshine State" will continue on Tuesday night at Dolphin Stadium outside Miami when the Florida Marlins (40-35) play host to the Tampa Bay Rays (44-31) in an interleague betting matchup that has playoff ramification for both teams, a refreshing change from past meetings. Game time is 7:10 PM ET. Right-hander Andy Sonnanstine (8-3, 4.92 ERA) makes the start for the Rays, while left-hander Scott Olson (4-4, 3.51 ERA) will toe the rubber for the Marlins. At BetUS online sportsbook, Florida is listed as a -120 sports betting favorite (Tampa Bay is even money), with a total of nine runs (the Over is -115, while the Under is -105). Here are some of the MLB Baseball betting trends as they relate to this online wagering matchup: * TB has won four of its last six games * TB has played 16 of its last 23 games UNDER the total * TB has lost seven of its last ten road games UNDER the total * TB has played four of its last five road games UNDER the total * FLA has played four of its last five games OVER the total * FLA has won 14 of its last 20 home games In the HEAD-TO-HEAD sports betting trends: * TB has won four of the last five meetings * Five of the last six meetings have gone OVER the total * FLA has won seven of the last ten meetings as the road team * Six of the last seven meetings in Miami have gone OVER the total Both teams had a day off on Monday; Tampa Bay travels from St. Petersburg, where they hosted the Houston Astros, while the Marlins were out in Oakland. Florida trails the Phillies in the NL East by just a game (they are even in the loss column), while the Rays are a game in back of the Red Sox in the AL east (and a game head in the loss column). Andy Sonnanstine is the starter for Tampa Bay, and he has been one of the pleasant surprises for the Rays this season, filling a much-needed spot in the rotation. Sonannstine was hit hard in his first three outings of the season, but has put together some excellent efforts since. Generally he has been going a shorter distance lately, but Tampa Bay's outstanding bullpen has shared some of the lifting. In none of his last five starts has he given up more than three runs. And the Rays have won 10 of his last 12 starts. And in his last seven outings, he has struck out 32 hitters while walking just five. Scott Olsen is looking to bounce back from a rough experience in his last start against Seattle, where he gave up 11 hits and four runs in 4-1/3 innings. Olsen has struggled with his control at times, but has walked only three batters in his last three starts. The Marlins have lost five of his last six starts. On the positive side, Olsen's off-the-field troubles, which have included fights with teammates, seem to be behind him. Sonnanstine had a decent effort against the Marlins on June 13, allowing three runs in 5-1/3 innings. Tampa Bay has also done well against Florida. The pitching gives them a real edge overall. And we like them in the underdog role here, since they are a respectable 12-8 against southpaw starters. JAY'S PLAY: TAMPA BAY (Even) For More Baseball Gambling Related Articles Click Here!
