| Toronto Blue Jays @ Milwaukee Brewers The Toronto Blue Jays are one of the most inconsistent teams in the Major Leagues. Right now, they are just consistently bad. They’ve lost two of three to the Baltimore Orioles, two of three to the Seattle Mariners and two of three to the Chicago Cubs. That makes it three wins in their last nine games. They head to Milwaukee for a three games series and don’t be surprised if they get back on the winning track. The Brewers are only 1-5 in interleague play this year and only 4-6 after a day off. The Jays, meanwhile, are 20-14 this year when facing a team with a winning record. They’ll also get three of their quality starters on the mound as they matchup Dustin McGowan versus Manny Parra, Shaun Marcum versus Ben Sheets and A.J. Burnett versus Dave Bush. MLB Free Picks: Toronto Blue Jays Kansas City Royals @ St. Louis Cardinals On paper, the battle of Missouri figures to be a one-sided one. But over the last three years, betting the St. Louis Cardinals in each game wouldn’t net you much of a profit. The Royals have won only five of the last 12 meetings but in units, that translates to a +0.4 unit win in their favor. Over the last six games, they are 3-3 with a +2.4 unit profit. The Cardinals are short-handed in the hitting department for this series as Albert Pujols is out with a strained calf. Outside of that, though, they figure to have almost every other edge. They have won six of their last eight games straight up, they are 23-14 in home games and the Royals are only 11-19 against teams with a winning record. But the Royals are a sneaky interleague team. They are 24-18 in interleague play over the last three years. If you can’t figure out a side play, just know that four of the last six meetings (and seven of the last 11) have gone over the total. Five of the last six Royals interleague games have gone over and so have 24 of the last 35 Cardinals’ interleague games. MLB Free Picks: Kansas City Royals Cleveland Indians @ Colorado Rockies Just about everybody has been beating up on the Colorado Rockies this season and now the streaking Cleveland Indians will get a shot. They have won five of their last seven games while the Rockies are a mediocre 2-3 in their last five. Interestingly enough, though, the Rockies have faired well against teams with a winning record this year. They are 13-16 against winning outfits, which is a good record considering they are 28-42 overall. The Indians are only 3-9 on the road as an underdog of +100 to +125 and will probably be within that range for all three games of the series since their ace C.C. Sabathia is not pitching in this series. The pitching matchups will be Paul Byrd and Greg Reynolds in game one, Aaron Laffey and Jeff Francis in game two and Jeremy Sowers and Jorge De La Rosa in game three.
