The Toronto Blue Jays are on a roll. They’re going for their sixth straight win in a row. They are starting to look like a legitimate threat to take down the two teams that have dominated the American League East for so long - - the sports betting favorite Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. The Blue Jays send one of their best pitchers to the mound in A.J. Burnett. As good as Burnett has been in the past, his form this year has been slightly off. His ERA of 4.69 isn’t enticing and his record of 5 and 4 means that he hasn’t dominated batters as much this year as he has in past years. For MLB betting fans, A.J. has not been A-plus this year.

The Oakland Athletics counter with pitcher Greg Smith. I feel bad for Smith. Even though his ERA is a pretty decent 3.18, his record is only 2 and 4. For some reason his team just hasn’t been giving him the run support that he needs in order to be a terrific online betting play when he takes the mound.
