The Cincinnati Reds will try to shrug off the fact that they let the Los Angeles Dodgers sweep them, yes, I did mean to write let, and beat the Padres at Petco Park in this Saturday night sports betting matchup. The Reds were terrible against a Rafael Furcal less Dodgers’ squad. Things have to get better for this team, right? Maybe. But probably not on Saturday because they send Bronson Arroyo to the mound. Arroyo is having a terrible season. His ERA is 6.02 and his record on the season is 2 and 4. Arroyo just doesn’t have the stuff that a consistently winning pitcher in the majors has. That means that, from a baseball betting point-of-view, a lot of dollars could be wasted on Bronson Arroyo.

Of course, the horrible San Diego Padres don’t have much going for them either. Wilfredo Ledezma, starting in place of injured Jake Peavy, already has one loss on the season. It usually doesn’t work out when a team tries to turn a middle reliever into a starter. But from an online sportsbook angle, Ledezma could be the way to go.
