We've been posting favorites for a while; but, this morning we passed up a few games in order to give you a fantastic underdog play. Today, Zack Grienke and the Kansas City Royals arrive in Toronto to face the Blue Jays. The Royals are looking to rebound after being swept at Fenway by the RED HOT Boston Red Sox.
Lately, we seem to notice that teams who get dominated at Fenway seem to have better luck in the next consecutive series. The Brewers came out sharp against the Pirates ealier this week behind their ace Ben Sheets; and, we expect the Royals to do the same thing behind their ace, Zack Grienke.
It's sorta like getting schooled by Kobe Bryant in a game of one on one; and, then later that afternoon heading over to the YMCA to play a few pick-up games with the local ballers. Naturally, the rec league local celebraties will look quite ordinary after having faced an NBA superstar earlier that day.
We expect the Royals to come out very sharp today behind their ace Zach Grienke (5-1, 2.18 ERA) who was spectacular against the Blue Jays earlier this season. When the Grienke faced the Blue Jays earlier this season, he only allowed 1 earned run in 5 innings of play.
The Royals will only need to score a few runs against Blue Jays starter Roy Halladay (4-5 W-L, 3.38 ERA) and the Blue Jays bullpen. Despite his record, former Cy Young Winner Roy Halladay is one of the elite pitchers in the American League.
Today, the Royals hope to make him look quite ordinary.
Take Kansas City Royals (+140) vs Toronto Blue Jays
