Opening week of the 2008 harness racing season at Mohegan Sun at Pocono will not only feature topnotch action but will give fans the opportunity to winning betting vouchers and food and gas gift certificates.

The 2008 live action begins Tuesday afternoon, April 1, with racing taking place the initial week on Friday and Saturday afternoons, too.

Racing will continue through September 13 four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday) with a post time of 2 p.m.

Fans, 18 years of age and older, attending any of the first three days of the 2008 meet will have the opportunity of winning either $50 gift certificates from Sheetz and Wegman's or $50 betting vouchers.

There will be twenty lucky winners each on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday of the opening week. Random drawings will be taking place following the third and seventh races. The winners will then select an envelope that will contain either a $50 betting voucher or Sheets or Wegman's gift certificates.

One entry per person and winners must be present. Those selected will be given 20 minutes to report to a designated location to claim the prize.

Parking and admission are always complimentary during live and simulcast racing at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
