The big drama in this race will be if Rachael Alexandra has recovered enough from her Preakness run, to be 100% for this one. That won't be decided until some time this week.

I still go with Mine that Bird. This horse looks good and a close runner up in hos last outing should remove any doubt that the Derby was a fluke.

Mine That Bird has certainly been the story of this Triple Crown season. He will be a major factor in this race, I just not sure if he will win it.

I'm waiting until the field is set before committing to a pick.

I agree - Mine that Bird will take the Belmont Stakes; odds are he blows by Rachel Alexandra late (as he was going to do at the Preakness), as this is the longest Triple Crown track, so he'll have time to close.

This is probably going to be one of the best sports stories of the year.

Unfortunatey many of this years best horses aren't going to be in the Belmont. I would have loved to see a stronger field, but I happy to see trainers taking better precautions to protect their horses.

Yeah, I think MTB has this one in the bag, though I have a weeeeirrd hunch about Miner's Escape. his trainer/owner won the Belmont last year.

Mine That Bird is the ultimate safe bet...and everyone knows there are no safe bets.

Take Chocolate Candy to win, I just feel it
