Here's my advance picks for the 2009 Kentucky Derby, we'll see how much these change as we get closer!

1. Quality Road
Trainer: Jimmy Jerkens

2. I Want Revenge
Trainer: Jeff Mullins

3. Dunkirk
Trainer: Todd Pletcher

4. Friesan Fire
Trainer: Larry Jones

5. The Pamplemousse
Trainer: Julio Canani

6. Imperial Council
Trainer: Shug McGaughey

Out of the six horses you mentioned I do like Imperial Council as my early favorite along with I Want Revenge. By as you mentioned is still very early.....stay tuned

The Pamplemousse will have a chance to cement himself as a Derby favorite with a win at Santa Anita this Saturday. Keep your eye on Chocolate Candy as I believe he will be right in the mix in this race as well.
