Breeders' Cup contenders will now face stiff steroid penalties, it was announced today.Trainers of horses who test positive will be hit with a one-year suspension from the event and if three violations are accrued, a lifetime ban will be implemented."We must provide an even playing field for all our equine athletes if we are to continue to offer the best thoroughbred racing in the world," said Greg Avioli, Breeders' Cup president and chief executive officer ...
