| With the plethora of information for off track betting fans out there for horse betting enthusiasts to evaluate, it has become harder and harder to turn a profit in this sports wagering realm but there are a few key things that online wagering players can look to when searching for the live longshot. One thing that players have to realize is that horses are creatures of habit. They like the breakfast at a certain time, they know lights out is coming soon after the feed buckets are filled in the late afternoon in most cases and they know in their bones that when the sun starts shining, it’s time to go to work and run. That is one reason why some horse bettors look for a little something different in the routine to shake a runner up. It could be a circuit switch, it could be a change in venue going from a warm climate to a colder environment, which usually wakes runners up or it could be something that the public doesn’t even know about, like maybe the addition of a puppy or a farm animal in the shed row area. Some race horses get very nervous and expend a ton of energy in their stall and if the trainer can get that runner to relax by either adding a companion, a dog or a pony, that runner may relax enough to start winning races. The main equipment change, besides the ultimate change of a gelding, is blinkers on or blinkers off. Generally, when blinkers go on a horse the runner is more focused and he has a greater chance to show more speed than what has been displayed so far. On the other hand, with blinkers off, runners will tend to not be so keen on the bit and eager to run early or they may totally relax and be super comfortable in coming from off the pace. Before a horse bettor bets blindly into a blinker change that player has to examine the history of the trainer when he switches things up. The final thing players should know is that changing the blinker pattern is much more beneficial with young horses. They don’t know any better and are eligible to improve. When trainers start adding and taking off blinkers on older horses, horse players should tread lightly. After 10 or 20 starts, a horse pretty much knows what is expected of him and he is already pretty well set in his ways. Another way to start the process of searching for the ‘price’ horse is a runner that is lightly raced and has room to improve. Some trainers are dynamite with comeback runners but the general rule is that horses do better with a race or two under the belt. Like in sports, particularly basketball, when a star player is out for a period of time, even for a week or 10 days, it takes that perfectly conditioned athlete time to dust off the rust. And this occurs for the normal player, or for the superstar. After a race over the track, combined with a rider switch or a change in distance, a runner has a chance to shine and sometimes at a juicy price. The best horseplayers in the game adapt and look to beat the chalk by looking for something a bit out of the ordinary. Check BetUS for all your Online Racebook Betting Odds + Lines!
