The weather looks like it is going to get better on Friday and into Saturday, which is Belmont Stakes Day. The racetrack was off again on Thursday and several races were washed off the turf.
There is an excellent horse betting card on tap on Friday, which includes a pair of stakes races.
A field of seven will go 1 ½ miles in the Grade 2 Brooklyn Handicap. The nightcap on the card is the Grade 3 Hill Prince Stakes, which drew a field of eight three year olds who will go one mile on the turf.
