Blues vs. Blue Jackets Preview home-and-home nhl series

(My Sportsbook) - The Columbus Blue Jackets and Blues will prepare for the end of their respective seasons this evening, as the clubs begin a home-and- home set at St. Louis' Scottrade Center.

The Blue Jackets and Blues will both complete their campaigns Sunday in Columbus, as neither team will be advancing to the postseason.

St. Louis will try to halt a three-game losing streak, both overall and at home, today. The team was last in action on Thursday, dropping a 3-2 decision in Nashville.

Jay McClement and David Backes scored the goals for St. Louis, which has lost six of seven. Hannu Toivonen stopped 27 shots in the loss, as starter Manny Legace was out with a hip flexor. Legace is questionable for tonight.

Jamal Mayers, meanwhile, is doubtful for the final two games of the year due to facial lacerations suffered on Thursday.

The Blues will try to improve on their 19-15-6 mark at home before ending on the road tomorrow.
