I like Chicago at 8 1/2. Lots of good young talent. Ousted in 2009 by Detroit in the Western Conference Finals (1-4) I think they build and return as a top contender in 2010.The team has not won the Cup since 1961. This is the longest current cup drought in the NHL. Look for the Hawks to make a solid run for the cup next season.

I like the Sharks at 8/1. Thornton and Marleau are dominating thus far and Dany Heatley is a huge talent; they've had it for a few seasons now on paper but I think this might finally be when San Jose punches through. Detroit seems weaker this year, for one...

I feel like now's the time to take a flier on Boston. If they can just stay above water and whether the injury storm they could make a late-season run. I had them as my Cup pick and now they're +2000 at my sportsbook, which is crazy value. Thoughts?

I would love to jump on the Sharks, but I not sure they can get past their previous meltdowns in the playoffs. I'm going with the Capitals to get it done this year.

Im going with the B's. The Bruins will pull it together and win the Northeast once again, which hasn't seen a repeat champ in 6 years i think? Something like that. The B's should've had a shot against Pittsburgh last year in the ECFinals. I think the wait is finally over this year in Boston. 8 to 1 odds...I love it.

Yeah, on second thought the B's isn't a bad pick either. Friggin' Tuuka Rask! (Leafs fan)

Canucks at 20-1 and washington at 11-1 look like the best value to me. The only thing that scared me bout the Caps is the goaltending situation. It is definitley a rag-tag bunch.

I'm sticking with CHItown. The Hawks are in first in their division and second in the conference behind the Sharks.
