What do you guys think of the signings so far?
I really like the Knuble signing by the Caps and the Komisarek signing by the Leafs. On the other side, I think the Scuderi signing by L.A. was BRUTAL, same with the Rangers splurging on Gaborik.

Not a lot of huge signings here, but I really like what Chicago is doing. Taking care of the homefront by signing 5 guys is pretty big, they're going to make some noise for a while

I really like what the Leafs have done on the blue line, been so long since it's been shored up proper. Probst maybe you can answer this...can this Gustavsson chap in net really unseat Toskala and give Toronto someone solid between the pipes.
I think Rolly the Goalie on Long Island is a good insurance policy for the band-aid DiPietro as well
Gustavsson will definitely push Toskala hard -- he was the considered the best goalie not in the NHL, so it's almost as if the Leafs got another first-round draft pick when they signed him. He's much bigger than Toskala and he's publicly stated that he wants to push him.
On the other hand, Toskala's one of those goalies who always plays best when someone else is pushing him for the job, so maybe Gustavsson will bring out the best in him...
The New York Islanders have agreed to terms with goalie Martin Biron on a one-year deal.

Hockey training camps will be opening soon so we will get are first look at which teams helped themselves the most through free agency, I don't know for sure who made out the best, but I am looking forward to the action starting back up.
