Default Avs sign Parker
The Colorado Avalanche signed forward Scott Parker to a one-year contract on Tuesday. The 30-year-old pugilist appeared in 25 games for Colorado last season and finished third on the team in penalty minutes with 70. A first-round pick (20th overall) by Colorado in the 1998 Entry Draft, Parker played his first four seasons with the Avalanche and was a member of the 2001 Stanley Cup Championship squad.
