Default Stanley Cup Betting Game 1 Penguins vs. Red Wings Pick

NHL Stanley Cup Betting Picks – Pittsburgh to Take the First Step

Pittsburgh Penguins (47-27-8) vs. Detroit Red Wings (54-21-7)
Saturday, May 24th --- Joe Louis Arena, Detroit --- 8:00pm EST
    NHL Betting Line: Detroit -170

Detroit beats Pittsburgh in every important statistical category, and they’re the Wings for goodness’ sakes. It’s no wonder that they’re the home sports betting favorites Saturday night as we open the Stanley Cup finals. Truth is – they should be.

So what’s with the title? Because I believe in Pittsburgh. I believe in Sidney, Evgeni, Hossa and Jordan Staal. I believe that they are a better team than Detroit, despite the numbers. Detroit’s 10-2 SU in their last 12 games. Pittsburgh? 12-2 SU in their last 14.

I am with you on trying to be with the Pens as I always try to root for those closest to my homestate. I am still a little shakey in some of the things I have heard by non-fans but I really think they can still pull some stuff around and well better than the Wings. That might be biased though too.

Well the Redwings pulled it off yesterday. I'm on the other side of your fence and have been going with the Wings and hopefully will be celebrating on Monday night when they take the cup.

I'm with you Ice, and welcome to the forums. This series is over in 5 games. Detroit will win at home in game 5. I'm "betting" on it. What a novel concept eh? LOL
