Watching Golf

Golf can be fun to play, but does anybody really like watching it?

I have so much fun playing, but I just find it excruciatingly boring to watch, either in person or on TV. I guess that's why I don't bet on it though, I just don't have fun with it.

I can watch a "major" tournament all day long, if I have nothing else going on

I listen to the tv while I'm on the computer. The kids go outside to play, my wife is doing whatever interests her. So if I have some uninterrupted time on the computer, I enjoy golf. It relaxes me to the point of wanting a nap.

That's honestly the only way I can do it. I have to be doing something else at the same time. I can usually manage to have one tv in the house on, but muted, while I'm watching something else on the main tv in the living room, or when I'm on the computer. I just get bored too easily.

It's funny, because I can watch people play poker all night long. I cannot, however, watch people playing golf. It really bores me to death if I'm not the one playing, even if I'm watching on tv.

I can't even have it on as background noise really, it just annoys me. I prefer to be out there golfing, not watching other people golf. There is just not enough action to get me into it.
