Odds to Win Verizon Heritage

When you think about the PGA Tour's Verizon Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links, you think of a couple things: the first is the ridiculous plaid jacket the winner gets. The second is Davis Love III.

Love has won the tournament at the Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina an impressive five times. He first won it in 1987 and last won it in 2003.

In 2008, Love is getting 40/1 odds to win the Verizon Heritage. Ernie Els is the favorite at 12/1, followed by Stewart Cink (14/1) and Jim Furyk (16/1).

Furyk, who played last week at the Masters, admits that preparing for the course is difficult after playing at the year's first major.

"It's more of a challenge to adjust than people might think," he said.. "You go from Augusta National, which is such a big place - a lot of area, big greens, big bunkers and all - to a golf course with small greens, narrow fairways … to change your game from Augusta to Hilton Head, it's not an easy thing to do. The focus is totally different."

Of note, Boo Weekley is the defending champion.
