Default Do you golf?

I know that some people here bet on golf tournaments, but does anybody here actually golf?

I've gone out a couple of times, I'm not very skilled though, and I'd like to get better before I actually go out with friends or something to golf.

Used to have a 11 or 12 handicap when I golfed religiously back in my high school days. I don't get out much anymore and struggle to brake 85 on most courses, but I'm glad I've kept it up, I can play it until i'm 100 right? LOL

It's definitely one of those sports that you can keep on playing past your prime, that's for sure. I think that's why so many people take it up. It's not the most exciting sport, but it's relaxing to play.

Very relaxing. I'm invited by friends to go with them to their club. It's so quiet. We have done some friendly betting amongst ourselves. "I can make this hole in 3 under par"...and I lose $20. lol

O you can play until you cant swing anymore, but I have never gotten the full hand of it. I can play not very well but I have never really played for anything more than sheer fun, my wallet and money are both safer that way.

Yep, as well as being a very relaxing sport, it can also be a very expensive sport. I don't know how much I have spent on clubs, and I don't know how much I have spent to play. Too much, in everybody else's opinion, and I don't even go out often.

Golfing is terrific fun, but you won't find me out on the green too often. It's a casual occurence for me, it costs a bit much and my clubs are old. I'd like to get out there more often though.

That reminds me that my clubs are getting old. The last time I went, my bag broke, and it keeps falling over no matter how I try to set it up. I get a few snickers everytime I make it over to the course.

It's time for some new clubs dude.

My first few I found at the goodwill. No lie. But they worked until I could afford newer ones. Just your normal oem lines, nothing custom made or anything.

My friend's wife improvised on a bag. Thank goodness she didn't go out in public with it, but it was good for storage in a pinch... she used the bag those folding camping chairs come in. No lie. The canvas one was sturdy enough.

The bags for folding chairs would actually work for me, and your friend's wife sounds pretty crafty.

Goodwill and Salvation Army have golf clubs sometimes, I've thought about getting some from one of those stores, I just haven't been serious enough about it.
