The second major of the year, the U.S. Open gets under way this Thursday. Being staged at Bethpage Black in Long Island, New York this promises to be a true test for the field.

While Tiger Woods is the odds on favorite to win, whom else in the field has a legitimate shot to win? You may have to look no farther than Tiger's first round pairing for that answer as this is one heck of a group.

I'm not sure Mickelson will be able to maintain concentration for all four rounds and Gay's game is good, but not good enough for Bethpage Black in Open conditions.

I look for someone with experience and past success in the U.S. Open to win this week. I'm still going with Woods, but betting The Field is probably the best bet.
