Default British Open is wide open

The 2008 British Open, one of golf’s four Majors, gets going Thursday at the Royal Birkdale course in Southport, Lancashire, England. World No. 1 Tiger Woods will miss his first major tournament in more than 10 years as he recovers from knee surgery. TNT will air the first two days of play, starting at 7 am ET Thursday, and ABC will have coverage of rounds three and four on Saturday and Sunday, starting at 8 am ET.

Man Oh man stunning game by Greg Norman in the third round of the 137th British Open!
At the ripe old age of 53, Norman defied age, wind, and psyched everyone to take a two-stroke lead. Wonders never cease!

Amazing. Imagine if he keeps going at this pace, he could become
the oldest major winner in history by five years. Just for the record..
the oldest major champion was Julius Boros who won the 1968 PGA
Championship at 48.
