Default 2008 John Deere Classic Matchup Picks

PGA Golf Betting - Best Tournament Match-Ups in John Deere Classic

The John Deere Classic is being held this weekend with the lack of some serious “name” players. While that fact might scare off quite a few online golf betting fans, I am here to tell you right now that not taking a look at the tournament match-ups that BetUS Sportsbook is offering would be a huge mistake.

golf

For BetUS online sportsbook PGA betting fans, this weekend’s John Deere Classic is full of terrific match-up online wagering opportunities that could seriously pad an online sportsbook bettor’s bank-roll.

We’re gearing up for the college football betting and NFL football wagering seasons, right? Well, there’s no reason to sit on our collective online gambling asses while opportunities to make money, like on golf, horse racing and NASCAR, are out there! Let’s make some dough by making smart online wagers. Smart begets smart, Papa Williamson always said. Can you think of a smarter game out there than golf?

Let’s get to it!

Best Online Sportsbook Tournament Match-Ups in the John Deere Classic

1. Heath Slocum – 135 vs. Ben Crane + 105 - - Slocum has one of the most accurate drivers in the game. That’s why he’s the favorite, but in terms of overall ability Ben Crane isn’t that far off from Slocum. Both of these guys have made the cut consistently in their starts this year and both should be playing this Sunday. My mind tells me that Slocum will finish ahead of Crane, but my online wagering mind tells me that Crane is the better wager. I’m going with Crane at + 105.

2. Kenny Perry – 155 vs. Heath Slocum + 125 - - Okay, Perry is just one of the best golfers on the tour right now. He ranks 4th on the money-list, has earned over 3.5 million and has five top ten finishes out of 18 starts. Slocum is a good golfer, but Perry is hitting the ball at a much higher level then Slocum. He’s the more logical online wager. I’m going with Kenny Perry.

3. Matt Kuchar – 115 vs. Tom Lehman – 115 - - Lehman is one of those “name” guys, but look at his record this season and, well, he’s not exactly tearing up the golf course, right? For online golf betting fans, Lehman is an iffy proposition at best. I expect him to do well, but well enough to take down Matt Kuchar? Kuchar has four top ten finishes. Lehman has made the cut only six times out of his thirteen starts this year. That’s right, Kuchar is the obvious play in this match-up. He is the most likeliest to pad our online betting bankrolls.

4. Mark Calcavecchia + 115 vs. Todd Hamilton – 145 - - Mark C. is another name golfer who has had trouble making the cut. Then again, Todd Hamilton hasn’t finished in the top ten in any tournament so far this season and has only made the cut 11 out of 18 times. I actually believe that taking a swing on Mark C. at + 115 on the BetUS online sportsbook isn’t the worst stab in the world. I’ll be doing it.

5. Bob Tway – 105 vs. Patrick Sheehan – 125 - - Tway has only made the cut in 5 of the last 10 tournaments he has started. Sheehan has made the cut 15 out of 21 times with 1 top ten finish. Sheehan appears to be the logical wager. The online betting money-line difference isn’t all that much. I’ll take Sheehan in this match-up.

6. Woody Austin – 105 vs. Tim Clark – 125 - - Austin has done well this season with three top ten finishes in 18 starts. He’s made the cut in 14 of those 18 tournaments. Clark has done decent with one top ten finish in 15 starts. He has made the cut 9 times. When in doubt take the higher-priced underdog, right? I’m going with Austin.

Take a swing at online sports betting in the BetUS.com online sportsbook. Not just par for the course
