Default MLB Fantasy: What's Wrong with These Guys?

If you were told about a year ago that your 2008 lineup would consist of fantasy players Vladimir Guerrero, Miguel Cabrera, Prince Fielder, Alex Rios, Curtis Granderson and Victor Martinez, what would your reaction have been...

I think I would have given them a chance. Sometimes if your going to gamble, you have to GAMBLE. Nothing ventured, nothing gained is my motto.

Right, if you go with the safe bets all the time then you never make any decent money. You have to put your neck on the line occasionally to make a decent win, playing safe gets you no where.

If you never take chances, you have nothing to gain. My best experiences have come by when I least expected them, and thought I had made sucky bets. I really think it's worth it. What's the worst thing that could happen weighed out against the best?

I don't think you can really weigh it up worst against best because of course the worst is that you lose all your money and have none to place a bet tomorrow with. There's no ways around it, and it isn't really balanced out by a win that you didn't achieve.

You have a point BetOnThis, but as someone else in this thread said, if your going to gamble, gamble! Its all a chance thing in the beginning. Sometimes a safer strategy is to wait till mid-season and start your betting...sure your loosing some long odds but then the teams have somewhat of a track record.

I fully think some have potential but not all that have it, do anything with it. I could see many two of those listed going anywhere big when they set their minds to it.
