Default NBA News: Jay-Z to Represent the Nets at Tonight's Draft Lottery

Jay-Z will be at the NBA's Draft Lottery on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET, but don't expect him to perform. He'll be representing the New Jersey Nets.

As a part owner of the Nets, Jay-Z will accompany 14 other crappy teams live before the Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons square off for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.

The Nets only have a 1.1 percent chance of grabbing the No. 1 pick in the draft, but the Jigga Man hopes he can bring some luck to the podium.

"This is very exciting and I hope my nickname "Lucky Lefty' holds up," he said.

if you were a part owner would you really be out there performing? I would rather pay someone to syke up everyone than do it myself, they couldn't pay me enough.

Well I guess I would perform if I had the skills to do it. I don't think I would want to do it, but if I were a natural performer, why not? :P

He's desperate. If it gives his team a boost, with the low odds they have of winning or getting noticed, then of course he'd join the game.

That's true Mike. He definitely wants to give the team some sort of boost, they're not doing so well right now and it might motivate them in the long run if he shows some support. Who knows?
