Default Dunkin' Donuts Free Iced Coffee vs. McDonalds Free Chicken Sandwich

When you're trying to make it in the cutthroat world of business, especially the cutthroat world of coffee, doughnuts and McChickens, giving away free shit will always bring 'em in.

Therefore, today, Dunkin' Donuts is hosting its second, nationwide Free Iced Coffee Day from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Whoot! Never one to take a back-burner, McDonald's is also weighing-in on free shit day — by offering free sandwiches. McDonald's customers who buy any medium or large drink can receive a free Southern-style breakfast biscuit (a.m.) or chicken sandwich (p.m.).

In conclusion: today, there is such a thing as a free lunch. Go get yours.

I cashed in on both of these freebies. Picked up the chicken biscuit at McDonald's , got my wife a diet Coke (her pick, not mine), then swung into DD for the iced coffee...

and if there's an online casino also sharing the wealth then I need to go check it out.

What has anyone cashed in on?

I was able to get the chicken sandwich from McDonalds on that day. I thought it was really strange that the only thing on sandwich was pickles. That kind of gave the whole sandwich a sort of pickle taste that I wasn't fond of. I was happy, on the other hand, that the iced coffee at McDonalds counted towards the deal.

Aww, too bad I missed both of these. I didn't know about the one at Dunkin' Donuts, but I did hear about McDonalds. I guess I just didn't note the date, because I surely would have been there.

I'm really lucky because I almost missed the deadline. I went two minutes past 7 (which was the deadline). I'm glad I made it in time, it was nice to get something free.

Yes, lucky indeed. Some of us actually have to pay for our sandwiches you know.

I love when deadlines work in your favor, but every once in a while there's a time when they work against you.

I dont like McDonald's food or else I would have and to make matters worse I live no where near a DD's. I would still go for the coffee first just to test it out. There are some mom/pop shops around here trying to get in on the iced coffee deal but I have a good feeling to bet they wont make it longer than a year and close shop.

McDonalds certainly doesn't have the best food, but I do like the breakfast sandwiches occasionally. I am a big coffee fan, and yes, you can find me at Starbucks every once in a while. There aren't really any "mom and pop" coffee shops in my area.

I have never been to a Dunkin Donuts before. I always see commercials on tv. McDonalds has decent tasting food, but we all know that it's bad for us. I've been trying to watch my weight right now, how cruel of them to try and entice me with free food!
