Default bachelor, taken or family man?

I have noticed that most of us are male so I thought I would ask are you a bachelor or a family man? Do you have a significant other? I think I am more a bachelor then a family man although I do have a girl

Married with children.

I am more reluctant to gamble too often because of it. But I'm pretty level headed regardless, I don't think being single would necessarily mean I'd take a more liberal hand with gambling.

Married, and yes, there are kids.

I think I'm similar to Mike in that I don't think my gambling habits would be different now if it weren't for the kids and wife.

I am not a bachelor but I am attached to someone. In fact, I plan to propose to her in a few weeks. I just need to get the ring and ask her dad if he'd be okay with it

Wow. People still ask the Dads? I thought my generation was the last. If you're proposing in Las Vegas does that mean that she enjoys gambling as well?

I didn't know that that people still asked parents either. I never much approved of the tradition myself, but I suppose it's one of those traditions that sticks around just because.

Very few still ask for the hand in marriage to the father, its kind of so so now. And on the original members question, I can be both cant I?

I'm a married man, no longer a bachelor. I have a couple kids too, two girls. Fortunately everybody in my family is a little bit into sports. I think that my gambling is effected by my family. I have to make sure that I don't gamble away lunch money.

I gamble whenever I can and anyone that I have dated knows it up front and without anything else hidden, no point if it goes from friend to relationship to marriage is it? Current one had no issues with it and if they do, theres the door.

There are still a few people who ask the parents, especially in more old fashioned towns or if the parents are old fashioned besides it racks points with the parents so that they don't turn into the parents in laws from hell.

I'm married with a 2 year old daughter
