Just when you were shaking your head while muttering, "Sheesh… kids these days" — a new children's book hits the bookstores that helps us understand why they are so messed up.

Dr. Michael Salzhauer, a certified plastic surgeon, has written a children's book called "My Beautiful Mommy" that explains to kids about their mommy's new giant teets, oversized fish lips and frozen forehead.

Salzhauer tells Newsweek: "Parents generally tend to go into this denial thing. They just try to ignore the kids' questions completely." But, he adds, children "fill in the blanks in their imagination" and then feel worse when they see "mommy with bandages," he says. "With the tummy tucks, [the mothers] can't lift anything. They're in bed. The kids have questions."

The book is slated to come out on Mother's Day. Be sure to pick up a copy between your botox and liposuction appointments. It's your moral obligation, really; how else will little Johnny learn about chin implants?

Wow, just wow. I really don't know what else to say about this. I'm surprised that such a book would ever come out, but at the same time, I don't really know how I feel about it. I just don't understand why there needs to be a book about plastic surgery for kids when it's really not a tough subject to talk about.
