The Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees 7-5, and surprisingly it didn't take five hours to do it. Red Sox pitcher Josh Beckett had a solid outing, holding the high-powered Yankees offense to just three runs off six hits with five strikeouts. The Yankees scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth off Jonathan Papelbon, but the Boston closer was able to finish the Yankees off. Outfielder Manny Ramirez had another great outing for ther Sox. He was 3-5, with two homeruns, and three RBIs. J.D. Drew, Dustin Pedroia, and Jason Varitek grabbed the other RBIs. The Red Sox were -138 favorites in the contest. - Bodog Beat
