The shoes are actually reputed to shave your time? Almost all of these big athletes are sponsored by the big names - Asafa Powell by Nike, Tyson Gay by Adidas and Usain Bolt by Puma - I think the shoes are a miniscule part of the equation. In any case Bolt cruised to his world record time convincinly enough...

The Jamaican camp was earlier complaining about the number of drug tests that their athletes were getting prior to the start of the track and field events. Now those tests will serve to quiet most, if not all, who may want to question if they were using 'jet fuel'.

I think those big muscles and all that training had more on an effect than the latest shoes did. It was a great run and the man deserves his glory. Now lets set his shoes on fire and see how fast he can run
