My BIL saw this one coming. His opinion is the guy is too experienced and savvy to just stay a driver. There's more out there and he can succeed in getting it.

What do you think his next move will be?

He's definitely got the experience, but I would think that if they're so passionate about driving as some of them seem to be, having too much experience wouldn't matter. Maybe that's not the case here though.
