Five-time lawn champ Roger Federer kicked off Wimbledon 2008 in style, winning a convincing three-set sweep over Slovakian Dominik Hrbaty in the opening round on Monday. Federer, who is looking for his sixth straight Wimbledon championship, breezed through with a 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 that lasted just one hour, 19 minutes. Looks like Federer has one heck of a contender at Wimbledon..the redefined new and improved powerhouse Safin! Yesterday Safin knocked out Djokovic..HUGE upset. All credit to Safin who put pressure on Djokovic with his great serves. Djokovic couldn't find momentum and made double faults and forced errors. It's amazing Safin hasn't won back to back matches all year. His dangerous backhand dictated the match and gave him victory over Djokovic WATCH OUT Federer!
