Like Tomas I have no problem with people joking around about serious issues, but then again it is always made obvious that it is just a joke. Most of these types of jokes don't piss me off but this one did

I really think that what this guy said is worse than what Imus was fired over. There was so much controversy surrounding those statements (which were still unacceptable of course), and not much corresponding to Madden's comments.
Even though it was as over the top that most can think of, does anyone want to place a bet on if this was planned or not? Its really close to boarderline wrong but I could see someone taking this chance to gain some spotlight for free, even with slander and "your a moron" charges brought up.
Interesting question, and to answer it, I don't think it was planned. I think it was just some of his true feelings spewing out of his mouth. In this case, it didn't help him any.
I still cannot believe that he made comments like these. I am just so glad that he got punished for making statements like these. No matter how much you hate somebody, there's no reason to say such hateful things.
I don't really listen to his broadcasts and I haven't heard all the details about this. What other comments did he make about the Senator besides the assassination bit? Was there anything else that he said?
I was listening to it too and I was thinking "what the hell?" and just staring at the radio before asking my wife if I had heard it right.
I am happy he was punished for making those comments
