Default Would you take the field

I am not sure the exact source but Sporting News has come BCS champ odds posted including an option to take the field.

This would mean you are a winner if any team other than Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, USC, Ohio State, LSU, Alabama, Virginia Tech, Mississippi, Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, Miami, FSU, Cal and Georgia wins.

The odds are 40/1...would you put some money down?

Miami and Florida State...I see no way they could pull of that good of a season.

It's tempting but I just don't see it happening. Can you think of any examples when a "field" team stole the BCS? Not a rhetorical question -- I'm actually curious.

They way the BSC rankings work it would be almost impossible for one of those teams not to win. They would all have to lose two games, and some other team would have to be undefeated.

I think the best best would be Georgia Tech or Oregon. If they ran the table they might have enough juice to get there.
