The Stanford Cardinals hit the road for the second week in a row to take on the TCU Horned Frogs after getting blown out last week by Arizona State. Last season the Cardinal's had big wins over USC and California but suffered eight losses by a combined 150 points. It's early in the year but it looks like Stanford is still in search of consistency. On offense the Cardinals Cardinal do bring a strong ground attack and solid front five and on defense has 10 of its top 11 tacklers back from a defense that ranked third in the Pac-10 in sacks (37) and tackles for loss (101).

Last season was an underachieving one for the Horned Frogs but this year, although playing weak competiton, have come out of the blocks in a big way as their first two games were blow out wins. TCU's offense averaged 386 yards per game ranking third in the conference and bring back Quarterback Andy Dalton who passed for 221 yards a game. In addition the offense has gotten a boost with a healthy Aaron Brown at tailback.

SUPPORTING TRENDS: TCU is 17-5 ATS (+11.5 Units) after gaining 275 or more rushing yards last game since 1992. TCU is 8-0 ATS (+8.0 Units) in home games after outrushing opponent by 200 or more yards last game since 1992. TCU is 10-2 ATS (+7.8 Units) in home games after scoring 42 points or more last game since 1992.

Last season TCU gained nearly 500 offensive yards on the road at Stanford including 10.1 yards per pass attempt. Look for more of the same this season and an easy cover. the last eight home teams to play off a 60-point win are 6-1-1 ATSI'm taking TCU in this one.
