|  NCAAF Saturday - Stanford Cardinal vs. Arizona State Sun Devils
The Stanford Cardinal, yes, that glorified team in the Pac-10 named after a color and with a fir tree as a mascot, started their season with aplomb against the much more ballyhooed Oregon State Beavers by beating the Beavers 36 to 28 this past Saturday. It was a huge victory for Stanford. The Cardinal practically shut-down online sportsbooks last year when they took out the USC Trojans on the road. Luckily, because they started out this season much better than they did last season, I suspect that there won’t be any 43 ½ point online betting spreads when the Cardinal play the Trojans this year....
