The Tigers (38-1), making just their third appearance in the Final Four, received 25 points from freshman guard Derrick Rose and will get another chance for their first NCAA Tournament championship when they play either Kansas or North Carolina, on Monday night.
Memphis' defense did head coach John Calipari proud, as the Tigers slowed down 6-foot-10 freshman sensation center Kevin Love and limited the Bruins to 37 percent shooting, moving on to their second championship game appearance in school history. The only other time Memphis made it to the final was in 1973, an 87-66 loss to UCLA.
