Women's Basketball

Do you bet on the women? This team has a great history, and UCONN being my alma mater, I'm partial to them. They have a game tomorrow, just looking around to see if it's too late to get a bet in and the odds.

Can't say I bet on the chicks...after that whole Rutgers thing I thought they are gonna get to much pub. now..LOL. Just not into womens ball is all...

I am really not into women's basketball, and basketball is definitely not my top sport in general anyway. I have respect for the girls that play, I'm just not up to speed with how they are doing all the time.

I bet on womens basketball at my college, and most of those girls play better then some of the guys on the male team. Of course, I may be prejudiced since my wife plays on the team lol

My girl isn't on any team but I do bet on girls teams, especially if I think the team is good. Our college has really good teams of both genders. Its cool because I can win quite a bit of cash

My mother-in-law is nuts about Women's Basketball, and keeps my wife and I posted regularly. Her "girls" lost against Stanford. Tuesday they're at the NCAA National Championships. So she and I have made a private bet. I say they'll lose again, she says they'll jump right back. We shall see.

Do you think that women tend to like women's basketball more than men's basketball, in comparison to men? Something I've wondered for a while now but haven't been able to answer.

[Davey]

I asked the females in my life and a couple said that it was "sexist" to like a game just because the team is the same gender but over half of them said that they do like womens more just because its womans.

[Sampson]

That's one thing I always found strange, it's sexist to watch only men's sports since they're men, but not sexist to watch women's sports just because they're women? I say just watch whichever has more talent, sometimes it's the guys, sometimes it's the ladies.

I am almost positive that the majority of regular women's basketball fans are women. That's not to say that women don't enjoy men's basketball, I think they just identify with the women's team more.
