Default Sportsbook.com NCAA Basketball Championship Odds To Win

NCAAB: Championship Odds

We’re down to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA tournament, and Sportsbook.com has updated its National Championship odds.

Odds to win the National Championship are listed in parenthesis.

Kansas (5:2)

It’s a little surprising that Kansas is the favorite over North Carolina, but the team did catch a break when Georgetown lost to Davidson in the last round. It will be a big upset if the Jayhawks don’t make the Final Four.

North Carolina (3:1)

North Carolina has not been challenged in their first two games against Mount St. Mary’s and Arkansas, and no team in college basketball wants to play them right now. These title odds look very enticing.

UCLA (3:1)

UCLA was very fortunate to beat Texas A&M last round, and the fact they only scored 51 points is a concern. Forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute is dealing with a sprained left ankle, but he should be ready to go against Western Kentucky.

Memphis (6:1)

Coach John Calipari claims he’s not concerned about the team’s poor free throw shooting (37-67 so far in the tournament) but that’s just hogwash. Another poor effort from the charity stripe could be mean a loss to Michigan State.

Texas (8:1)

This Texas team is flying under the radar as a number two seed. Their guard play is as good as any team in the nation with D.J. Augustin and A.J. Abrams, and the supporting cast is good enough to make the Final Four where anything can happen.

Wisconsin (15:1)

Wisconsin is not as talented as last year’s team with Alando Tucker, but they have already gone farther in the tournament. The Badgers are a solid favorite over Davidson and then could meet (and even beat) Kansas for a Final Four bid.

Louisville (15:1)

Coach Rick Pitino has had a ton of success in the tournament over his career, and that’s one reason they are only 15:1 to win a title. The Cardinals have played very well in their first two games and they hope it continues against Tennessee.

Stanford (20:1)

Stanford has their great big man combination of the Lopez brothers, and they will present a mismatch against Texas. The question is whether enough other players will step up and give this team the depth and balance they need.

Tennessee (20:1)

The Tennessee and Louisville game coming up is perhaps the best on the schedule. The Volunteers are happy to still be playing after their overtime win over Butler and these odds show they are not getting a lot of respect as a two seed.

West Virginia (35:1)

Coach Bob Huggins has made a dramatic return to his alma mater, making the most of his talent level and silencing his many critics. West Virginia is flying high after their win over Duke and playing as confident as team in the country.

Xavier (40:1)

It’s hard to remember that Xavier is a three seed, especially after they were almost bounced out by Georgia in the opening round. Xavier next plays a hot West Virginia team so they will have their hands full.

Michigan State (40:1)

Coach Tom Izzo is known for his prowess in the tournament and he is doing it again this year. The Spartans are going to have a big problem with Memphis’ athleticism up front, but don’t count this team out.

Washington State (50:1)

Washington State is a tough defensive team out of the Pac-10 and these odds seem very favorable. If the Cougars can somehow get by juggernaut North Carolina, then watch out for this underrated squad.

Davidson (60:1)

If you didn’t know the name of Stephen Curry before this tournament, you surely do now. Davidson has been dubbed the ‘Cinderella’ of this tournament, but all fairy tales have to come to an end some time. Don’t they?

Villanova (100:1)

Villanova has played very good basketball in this tournament, beating Clemson and Siena. While defeating Kansas would be a huge upset, they are capable of taking care of Wisconsin or Davidson in the next round.
