Thread: Arizona's new Head Coach is....

Default Arizona's new Head Coach is....

Tim Floyd??? Really? Count me as un-impressed. Surely they could have drawn in a bigger, better name than Tim Floyd.

Remember this...Arizona will be looking for a new head coach in 4-5 years and the NCAA Tournament streak will be broke. Floyd will run this program into the ground and the NCAA commitee won't be able to save him like they did this year.

He did a lot for USC man, they hadn't been able to compete w/ ucla for ages, last 3 years w/ 20+ wins

Not a bad hire, AZ wasn't going to be able to pull a super high profile coach. I would give Floyd the chance

    Default It makes no sense.

I don't know why Floyd would make the jump. Granted Arizona has a better history but since he came to USC he has taken the program up a notch. If Buddinger and Hill leave, which is likely then it could be a few years before UA is good again. Plus Floyd is bringing in five star talent at USC. To me this move makes no sense except for a better paycheck.

I didn't think the Bennett to Virginia move made much sense either. He is a nice coach but Virginia is always going to be middle of the pack in the ACC whereas at Wazzu they might rise up every once in while like they did.

Isn't wash. st bordering Idaho?? WTF is there to up there? It's like here in Nebraska...boring

It does look like Floyd will stick with USC. Where do they go now?

Smart move on his part, I know its Arizona and all, but he's done a ton for USC and should continue to build it.

IN LA the mantra is build it and they will come baby! haha
