The SEC Champs Miss St. Bulldogs and the UW Huskies will both be fighting for a win on THursday in Washington's own back yard...Portland...at the Rose Garden.

Oddsmakers currently have the Huskies listed as 6-point favorites, this may well be one of the best 1st round games. 6-1 last 7 games for MIssissippi ST, and for Washington they bowed out in the Semi-finals of the Pac 10 Tourney.

Does Miss St. have another run in them after travelling 3000 miles across the country to Portland? I say NO. The SEC is not the PAC 10, the Huskies are battle tested and Isiah Thomas is an ELITE point guard.

The espn simulation for this game has UW winning by 2...I think it will be that close too....
