This is a pivotal game in the Big 12 tonight. The result will potentially make or break for the NCAA tourney.
Kansas State 20-9 (8-6)
Oklahoma State 19-9 (8-6)
The teams are tied for 5th in the Big 12. The winner will improve their conference record to 9-6 and into a 4th place tie with Texas. OSU split the season series with Texas while KSU won the only meeting between the two teams in 09.
OSU has been on a roll winning the last 5 games by an average margin of 13.8 points. They have been led by James Anderson recently with an average of 25.3 per game. Marshall Moses has been controlling the paint the last 3 averaging a double double with 12pts/14reb. The Cowboys are tough at Gallagher Iba Arena, losing only twice this year to #3 Oklahoma and #11 Missouri.
KSU has gone 2-1 on the road recently (W @ TX A&M and Iowa St. - L @ Missouri) but have struggled with lesser competition. The Wildcats are lead in scoring by Denis Clemente 14.6 and Jacob Pullen 13.6. They will probably not be able to exploit the Cowboys inside because they lack a true quality big man. Clemente has also shown that struggles dealing with a rowdy crowd which Iba should be rocking (see 2/14 vs. Kansas and subsequent suspension).
