Saints and Wildcats battle in second round of NCAA Tournament

Tampa, FL (My Sportsbook) - In an unexpected second round matchup, the 13th- seeded Siena Saints face off against the 12th-seeded Villanova Wildcats in the Midwest Region of the NCAA Tournament. The winner of this game will advance to the Sweet 16 against Kansas.

The Saints pulled off the tournament's biggest upset on Friday, as they knocked off fourth-seeded Vanderbilt, 83-62, in convincing fashion. The 21- point margin of victory marked the second largest ever by a No. 13 seed in this event. Now at an even 3-3 all-time in the NCAA Tournament, Siena is bidding to become the first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference team to reach the Sweet 16.

As for Villanova, it pulled off a noticeable upset of its own, upending fifth- seeded Clemson, 75-69, in the first round on Friday. With the win, the Wildcats advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last four years. They also improved to 13-11 all-time when playing as the lower seed in this event.
