Freeman transfers to Southern Illinois from Iowa

Former Iowa guard Tony Freeman will transfer to Southern Illinois, Salukis' men's head basketball coach Chris Lowery announced Monday.

"Tony brings maturity and toughness, which have been so consistent in our guard play in the past," Lowery said. "We've got to get our practices back to where they are really competitive, and he'll help us do that."
