| Connecticut men's basketball coach Jim Calhoun announced Friday that he is being treated for a form of skin cancer. Calhoun spoke at a press conference Friday and said he underwent a procedure on his upper right neck on May 6. The cancer was removed, along with a small portion of the salivary gland and 37 additional lymph nodes from lower in the neck. Last edited by Qbins Missile Crisis : 05-30-2008 at 03:00 PM. |

| He's a good coach, I'm not a fan of UCONN hoops, but I never wish for a coach of a sports team to have bad health, that's just not right! LOL

| 37 additional lymph nodes ..........that seems like a damn big area. I know there are those under the chin area when your sick they swell and whatnot, the ones the doctors always check. Thinking of 30+ though makes me wonder if its spreading and he just doesnt want fans to know. |
