| Wager On UFC 86 - JACKSON vs. GRIFFIN On Saturday, July 5, what happens in Vegas won't stay in Vegas, as the online UFC betting world watches undisputed light heavyweight champion Quinton ''Rampage'' Jackson defend his title against Forrest Griffin live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jackson and Griffin, who served as opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter 7, are ready to step into the Octagon and face-off as combatants for the 205-pound championship. And, it's a lock, Rampage and Griffin will come ready to brawl for the most hotly contested title in the UFC following a much needed layoff. Both fighters used the 13-week taping of the reality series to recover from injuries suffered in their prior fights. Rampage injured his hand training for his winning bout against Dan Henderson and Griffin underwent shoulder surgery after his jaw-dropping upset victory over Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. Rampage shocked the online UFC wagering community by defeating one of the most feared men on the planet in the likes of Chuck ''The Iceman'' Liddell to become UFC's Light Heavyweight champion on May 26, 2007 at UFC 71. Rampage pulled the upset in very impressive fashion by melting The Iceman by way of knockout at just 1:53 of Round 1. Rampage, who's known for his power slams, striking ability and raw strength, then went on to defeat 205-pound PRIDE champion Dan Henderson on September 8, 2007 at UFC 75 via unanimous decision. The victory made MMA history as Rampage unified the PRIDE and UFC belts. Rampage is riding a three-fight winning streak and has a career overall MMA record of 27-6-0. He'll look to improve on those marks and remain champion as the BetUS UFC odds favorite priced at -260. Now, Rampage looks to defend his status as the baddest 205-pound man on the globe by going to war with the top light heavyweight champion contender Griffin at UFC 86. Griffin came onto the UFC scene by winning The Ultimate Fighter season debut in April 2005 and fights out of Las Vegas, which will put the Sin City crowd squarely behind him against Rampage. Griffin is a well rounded fighter, aggressive and loves to mix it up. He's driven by heart and passion and has faced some of the best in the business including Tito Ortiz, Stephan Bonnar, Keith Jardine, Elvis Sinosic and Hector Ramirez. In his last trip to the cage, Griffin earned the respect of MMA fans and online UFC betting enthusiasts around the world by tapping out Rua, who's one of MMA’s best, on September 22, 2007 at UFC 76 via choke in Round 3. Griffin's overall MMA record is 15-4-0. He's won back-to-back fights and six of his last eight. The two losses during that span came at the hands of Ortiz and Jardine. Griffin will look to become the new UFC light heavyweight champion as the underdog priced at +200. If you bet on UFC bone crushing action, you don't need to be told this is going to be one hell of a fight, making for awesome online sports betting excitement. Also on the card: Patrick Cote (-115) vs. Ricardo Almeida (-115), Joe Stevenson (-220) vs. Gleison Tibau (+175), Josh Koscheck (-330) vs. Chris Lytle (+220), Tyson Griffin (-350) vs. Marcus Aurelio (+250) and more! | This was an amazing fight and great win for Forrest. The only thing I question, are the scores from the judges. I don't think Forrest won by 2 and 3 points. That match was even and should have only been decided by barely 1 point. I can't wait for the rematch! |
