So which Running Backs will take you to the promise land this week? Let’s take a look in the top 5 RB plays of Fantasy Week 8.
1. Le’Veon Bell, Steelers
Bell has a tough matchup this week but as we’ve seen with Bell he is absolutely matchup proof. He has gone for at least 127 yards combined in four of his last five games and will get 20-25 touches per game guaranteed! With Big Ben likely returning to the lineup this week, Bell will find even more room to roam and should be more utilized in the passing game.

It all adds up to yet another huge week for Bell- 100 yards rushing and a TD on the ground and 4-6 catches for right around 50 yards and another possible TD is what I see – good enough for the #1 spot on my list!
2. Todd Gurley, Rams
Mr. Gurley and the Rams get the 49ers this week and they should feast! Gurley has been a beast so far this year averaging – get this – 144.3 yards per game since taking over as St. Louis’s lead back. He’s a dual threat guy to boot! I am expecting Gurley to have his way with the sinking ship that is the San Francisco 49ers – 125 yards on the ground and 2 TDs to go along with 2-4 catches for 25 or so yards. Gurley is more of a 1B this week rather than a #2 option.

3.Devonta Freeman, Falcons
Not yet convinced about Freeman as a Fantasy God? WAKE UP! True he didn’t score last week but he certainly racked up the yards both rushing and catching the ball. Freeman has virtually ZERO competition for touches in Atlanta and with volume comes production. I see another 110 yards and a rush TD this week to go along with 5-7 grabs out of the backfield for 50 or so yards and another TD – not bad at all!
4.Adrian Peterson, Vikings
Peterson has struggled the last two weeks but nothing snaps a slump like a game against the Chicago Bears! AP has failed to score in four of his six games so far but you just can’t ignore the homerun potential of this guy. He is going to get the ball 20-25 times guaranteed – against a terrible Bears defense – that’s good enough for me to have him in the top 5. Peterson is absolutely due for a monster game – my guess is it comes this week against a hated divisional foe.

5.Mark Ingram, Saints
Ingram faces a Giants’ defense that has allowed 385 rushing yards in the last two weeks. He enters off his best game of the year – 143 yards and a TD on just 14 carries. Maybe the Saints finally woke up! Feed Ingram and good things happen. It think it happens this week and the Saints continue their resurgence and make another move toward respectability – on Ingram’s shoulders!
