There are a few units on byes – most notably the Packers.
As we’ve seen in previous weeks, a good defense can carry a Fantasy team – Miami scored 31 points for their owners last week and came close to the points totals of some of the top running backs from Week 6.

So which Studs are locks for a big week? Let’s take a look at the top 5 Fantasy D/ST plays for Week 7.
1. Carolina Panthers
vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Panthers match up very well with the Eagles – they have allowed only five passing TDs in their five games this year.
They have also been solid against the run. The Eagles showed on Monday night that they will turn the ball over – Sam Bradford is inaccurate – the rushers have put the ball on the ground.
The Panthers have a ton to play for and with Luke Keuchly fresh and healthy Carolina looks a lot like the #1 D/ST option this week!
2. St. Louis
vs. Cleveland Browns
The Browns have had a pretty decent passing game last few weeks but Cleveland’s strength plays right into the hands of the Rams defense.
St. Louis has allowed just five passing TDs this year – just one in their last two home games against some pretty good teams.

I expect the Rams to shut down the passing game and force the Browns to run the ball – which they haven’t done effectively all season long. This could be a low scoring affair with the Rams handsomely rewarding those who started them.
3. Buffalo Bills
vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
This game takes place in London – neither team will have the benefit of their regular routine. When that happens, defenses usually benefit the most.
Let’s face it the Bills are a better defensive team than they’ve show. Against the Jags, I think they make a statement.
4. N.Y. Giants
vs. Dallas Cowboys
I am giving the Giants defense a mulligan after last week’s dud against the Eagles although they did generate four turnovers in the loss.
Matt Cassel makes his first start for his new team this week which makes the G-Men an almost automatic play. Jason Witten is about the only reliable pass catcher right now and the running game has been average at best lately.

Growing pains will be evident with Cassel at the helm – expect the Giants to capitalize on the almost guaranteed mistakes and to have themselves quite a Fantasy day!
5. Arizona
vs. Baltimore Ravens
The Cardinals continue to be one of Fantasy’s best D/ST and get a crack at an underwhelming Baltimore offense at home on Monday night.
Patrick Peterson should be able to hold a banged up Steve Smith down and the run defense that has allowed just one rushing TD all season should be able to keep Justin Forsett in check.
Arizona has made most opposing offenses look bad – the Ravens have made themselves look bad. It all adds up to yet another strong day for Arizona’s D/ST.
